Speakers Include:
Jared Boudreaux of Lost Coast Wellness will share with us his nearly 2 decades of CBD research and development. Jared’s personal story to bring medicine to the world is sure to inspire. His journey with Cannabis/CBD has lead him to meet, work and play with top industry leaders for over the last 17 years. Jared has worked with people from all over the world promoting Endocannabinoid System (ECS) Therapy. Education is his passion. He is a medical breeder and has one of the largest CBD hemp seed collections in Humboldt County. Jared was the first farmer in Humboldt county to buy his own gas chromatograph testing his genetic selections to speed up plant breeding. Jared was #81 in Humboldt County to receive a medical cannabis permit and license. Lost Coast Wellness was #83 in Louisiana to receive CBD wholesale, retail and dealer licenses and permits. In 2007, Jared worked with Rick Simpson refining RSO methodologies and introducing Rick to CBD. Jared worked with Genine Coleman to create the world’s first Medical Appellation Agreement for Humboldt County. Jared owns Lost Coast Wellness, a nationwide licensed hemp company with his wife Effie. Working with Jared and Effie can feel like a spiritual return to the plant and it’s obvious to all who meet them. For this retreat, Jared will provide a hands on seed starting demonstration followed by cloning, leafing and watering techniques to promote vigorous growth. Jared and his team at Lost Coast Wellness will go over the do’s and don’ts of the harvesting, drying and curing process to ensure quality and safety all along the way. Jared loves to educate so don’t hesitate.
Effie Boudreaux of Lost Coast Wellness will share her personal story of healing from trigeminal neuralgia with Cannabis and Sound and how this inspired her to co-create a CBD Skincare line for Lost Coast Wellness. Effie will also discuss the health benefits of juicing Cannabis leaves to help correct gut flora and overall health. Effie also owns The Studio Lost Coast, offering wellness services and classes in Shelter Cove. She is an accomplished Sound Healing Practitioner and and is a facilitator of CBD&Sound, a meditative experience using Sound Therapy and Endocannabinoid System Therapy for ultimate relaxation and healing. Effie uses Sound as a brainwave technology to teach meditation, encourage neuroplasticity and activate the body’s innate self healing capabilities. Effie will guide you through a brief meditation each morning to balance your mind, body and spirit and will also offer CBD&Sound on Saturday evening. Effie is CannaMom of 3 amazing homeschoolers.
Herb Macey, 73 born in Oakland CA and graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor of art in communication with a minor in microbiology. Herb entered the military in 1969 and trained as a combat medic in the US Army Special Forces. He worked as the assistant to the Director of emergency medical services in Utah where he became an EMT and paramedics instructor. Herb then graduated from the University of Utah medical school as a physician’s assistant. He practiced in family practice and emergency medicine retiring in October 2020. Herb volunteers with hospice services and is a licensed therapy dog handler. In 1997 Herb was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. In 1998 he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Then in 2010 he was also diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia. When Herb was introduced to Effie and Jared in 2009 he could barely walk. With their guidance, he adopted a cannabis growing lifestyle to reduce pain, manage symptoms and enjoy his life again. Herb is now carrying on the mission of educating and supporting patients 12 years later with no plans of stopping. His story is truly awe inspiring. Herb is an angel on a mission to help others. His ability to explain what is going on inside the human body is a gift that he loves to share.
Connie Jacoby is a 28 year nursing professional, formulation specialist, herbalist, naturopathic certification, medical aromatherapy certification with a degree in Business Administration. She founded Wise Women Botanicals in 2010. Connie is dedicated to providing the highest quality plant based products with sound R&D. Connie is the Education Director for several dispensaries in the Midwest. She is an educator and speaker for Mother Earth News Magazine. For this event Connie will be speaking about the synergistic effects of other plants with cannabis to treat specific conditions. Connie is truly a Wise Woman working with Botanicals as the name of her company suggests. The knowledge and experience that she has to share has is humbling.

Nate Swenson of Royal Gold Soil has a M.S. degree in Natural Resources – Wildland Soil Science (2009). B.A. degree in Interdisciplinary Studies – Minor Soil Science (2005). Nate served as Faculty at College of the Redwoods (2006-2011) and Humboldt State University (2009-present). His classes include : Intro to Soil Science, Agroforestry, Intro to Sustainable Agriculture, Vegetable Production. Nate is a Certified Professional Soil Scientist (CPSS #340998) since 2017 (CPSS issued by the SSSA – Soil Science Society of America). Nate has 20 years growing experience. He has been a consultant for the cannabis industry since 2015. Nate has been at Royal Gold since 2018, first as an outside consultant and now Head of Soils and Fertilizer Research, mainly working with organic fertilizers designed for cannabis. For this event Nate will be speaking about best soil composition. He will educate us on how to maximize soil and the micronutrients within it. Nate is a soil expert and has developed proprietary techniques for creating soil formulations that are results driven. Nate and Royal Gold are leaders in the science of soil.
Tyler Platt is lead educator and salesperson for Grassroots Fabric Pots. Tyler has been growing medical cannabis in the foothills of California for the last 12 years. John Block, 77 is a USC basketball All American, played 10 years in the NBA on seven different teams and was an All Star in 1973. He coached basketball collegiately for 21 years, four years as an assistant coach at two major colleges and the rest at four Christian colleges as the head coach and athletic director at two of those. John founded Oak Bridge, a sports and family camp which became a Young Life Camp, the Lord’s Fitness and Community Center in Southeast San Diego. He was also one of the founders of the Redemption Works International, an African ministry and a Pro-Am basketball league in San Diego. Dedicated to discipleship, he has continued coaching, consulting and mentoring men all over the world. For this event John will do a Q&A session with Jared Boudreaux about moving past the stigma of cannabis and welcoming it into your life as self care.
